How many days are there between two dates?
Subtract the start date from the end date: 1 June to 3 June is 2 days, or 3 days if you count the end date too. Choose both dates here and the calculator shows the difference in days, weeks, months and years, plus the number of weekdays and weekend days.

Inclusive vs. exclusive counting
By default the calculator counts the days between two dates, the way you’d count nights of a hotel stay: from 1 to 3 June is 2 days. With “Include the end date” ticked, both dates are counted: 1 to 3 June becomes 3 days. Legal deadlines, leave requests and event durations often use inclusive counting.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are public holidays excluded from weekdays?
No. Public holidays vary by country and region, so the weekday count includes every Monday to Friday. Subtract local holidays yourself if needed.
How are months counted?
A month is complete when the end date reaches the same day of the month as the start date. If that day doesn’t exist, for example 31 in April, the last day of the month counts.
What date is 90 days from a given date?
Use “Add or subtract days, weeks, months or years”: choose the date, enter 90 and Days, and pick After. For example, 90 days after 6 October 2026 is Monday, 4 January 2027.
Does the time of day or time zone matter?
No. The calculator works with whole calendar dates, so results aren’t affected by time zones or daylight saving time.
What’s the earliest date I can use?
Any date from the year 1000 to 9999. Dates are counted in the Gregorian calendar, including those before it was introduced in 1582, so very old dates can differ from historical records kept in the Julian calendar.
