2. How we ask for your consent
We respect your autonomy. We never use deceptive dark patterns, pre-checked consent checkboxes, or coercive cookie walls. Your choices are gathered transparently:
First-Visit Choices
On your first visit, a notice lets you accept all optional cookies, reject them, or choose by category. Once ads are switched on, choices in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland will be collected by Google’s consent message, a consent platform certified under the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF).
Equal Ease of Rejection
Rejecting is as easy as accepting, and optional categories are off unless you switch them on. No hidden menus or convoluted multi-click opt-outs.
Zero Pre-Loading of Tracking
Google Analytics is not loaded at all until you allow analytics. It is not loaded first and switched off later.
12-Month Duration & Re-Prompt
We remember your choice for 12 months, then ask again. We also ask again if the cookies we use change.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with “Manage cookie preferences” in the footer of every page. Withdrawing is as easy as giving consent.

3. Cookie and storage categories
Storage technologies on VektraTool are divided into four clear categories. Only the strictly necessary category is enabled by default to run basic site features.
Necessary
Needed for the site to work and to remember choices you make, such as your cookie choice, your light or dark theme, your favourite tools and saved presets. These cannot be switched off.
Analytics
Help us understand which tools are used and whether they work, so we can improve them. Analytics never includes the files or text you put into tools.
Advertising
Lets Google personalise ads based on your activity on other sites. If you switch it off, any ads you see are not personalised; Google may still use cookies to limit how often you see an ad, prevent fraud and measure ads.
Preferences
Remember optional things between visits, beyond what is strictly needed: the tools you used recently and most often, each tool’s last used options, your recent tool searches and the guides you read recently, so you can get back to them quickly.

5. Advertising and your choices
Google AdSense Funding Model
We plan to fund the site with Google AdSense, but ads are not switched on yet. Once they are, this is how your choices apply. Declining advertising cookies does not remove ads; it changes which kind of ad Google is allowed to show you. Google decides this from your choices, and we do not override it:

US State Privacy & Global Privacy Control (GPC)
In some US states, you can also opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for ads. Google honours this, including a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser, by restricting data processing.

6. Google Consent Mode v2
Before anything else runs, every page tells Google’s tags that analytics and advertising storage are denied by default. Your choice is then passed on using Google Consent Mode, by Google’s consent message where it applies, and by our notice elsewhere.

7. Withdrawing consent
If you switch analytics off, we delete the analytics cookies set on this site and reload the page without Google Analytics. If you switch advertising off, later ads are no longer personalised.
Cookies that Google sets on its own domains cannot be deleted by us; you can remove them in your browser settings, and manage Google ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com. Google describes its cookies in how Google uses cookies.

8. Browser controls
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and site data through their privacy or security settings.
If you block local storage, the site still works, but we cannot remember your cookie choice, theme, favourites or presets, so you will be asked about cookies again on each visit.
